The Francis/Samuelsson trade was voted as the best trade, who is a player that you had no clue played for us, all time?

  1. If I didn’t have a clue he played for us, how can I name him?

Not trying to cave to regency bias but Patrick Marleau is 100% going to be a local Pittsburgh sports trivia answer in a decade

Brenden Morrow was forgettable during the 2012 run.

Jeff Petry will be an answer a decade from now.

Recency bias….. Penguins have had many big name playoff rentals during the Crosby era.

Marleau, Iginla, Hossa, Vokoun, Goligoski (not a rental).

Someone else mentioned Tim Horton and I think this one is the winner. Everyone has heard the name but few know that he played for the pens.

Luc Robitaille, as my favourite LW in the game during the era, I sometimes forget he had that cup of coffee in Pittsburgh. Probably doesn’t help that it was a short season and Mario missed it as I expected those two to be a great combo.
