Xhekaj isn't going anywhere. Nobody on his team or in management is upset with him. He did what he had to do to defend his teammates. And what did it cost them? two meaningless games and him 3 grand. To send out a message that if you injure our player he will hurt you. And if you target our top players he will target theirs. From the amount of crying out of Sens Fans and the Leafs media. I'd say they heard the message loud and clear.

Xhekaj played well tonight, he was basically jumped and whipped MacEwen's a$$. Still played 19 minutes and got a goal, and didn't have any goals against. I would like to see him get to play more D, but he's the Sheriff, he's got to answer the bell. I would like to see Canadiens add more tough players, but it looks like they are modelling the team after the Lightning.
I agree with you that Olivier is an upgrade over Pez! Pez is tough and stands in there but he isn’t a feared guy nor is he a heavyweight! He’s more of a middle weight kind of guy! As a Habs fan, I’ve never been a Pez fan. I think his days are numbered also in Montreal. We need another enforcer to alleviate some of the burden Xhekaj has on his shoulders to fight every night! Olivier would be a perfect fit on our 4th line
I totally disagree on your Xhekaj take. He is exactly what the habs need. Leafs the Sens, two division rivals have been taking cheap shots and have been knocking top 6 players out. By not stepping up, what would be said? Hab management know they need Wifi, and they like what he has done, make no mistake.

Greenway or Krebs for Farabee? Why would Briere want either? That's something for nothing. BUF's problem is ownership and the fact they have a team of boys. It takes men to win.
Move xhekaj to forward. Then you can have on the fourth line. You have much better defensemen in your system.

Leafs should of snagged Ludvig. He is a player who comes to play every night…a rare commodity in Toronto.

With Montreal's depth of defensive prospects its going to be very difficult for Xhekaj to make the Canadiens top 7 dmen and stay with the team over the next 2 yrs.That said due to his unicorn abilities the Habs wont trade him until they absolutely have to if it becomes clear he is only 8th best on their depth chart
I was surprised to find out that Olivier was born in Biloxi Ms, i thought he was 100% Quebecer👀
