At this rate, with the other major injuries going on in the league this preseason, there’s no reason to play your NHL regulars in the preseason

  2. This is going to be a very very rough season

  3. We’d have to sign like three more players to be above the fuckin cap floor lmao. Thanks for once, NHL.

Time to start looking at Hagens, McQueen, frondell early

    Thanks i hate this

For real though holy shit poor Boone, dude basically *never* missed time for anything other than that one “middle body injury” till recently. I swear since he got the C he’s missed more time than i think he might have the rest of his entire career combined.

I feel really fucking bad for him because I’m sure he was really excited to step into Nick’s shoes and make his own mark on this team, and then his body was like “nah none of that”.

  6. I mean we weren’t going to be competitive this season, but now we won’t have any clue what full strength would’ve even looked like. For fucks sake.

We aren’t even close to hitting rock bottom, and that’s the more depressing thought for me. Every step forward or shred of hope is instantly or eventually erased by tragedy or unpreventable “bad luck”

Can’t believe we’re in mid season form already.

It seems like every year we are shredded with injuries. I know some injuries are to be expected, hockey isn’t a game for the weak, but it just makes me wonder if there is something in our strength and conditioning that could reduce our chance for injury.

I figured it was going to be long-term when we signed another forward. Here’s to a speedy, full recovery for both!

Here’s the reality of the situation; we’re not winning a cup this year. It was always going to be considered a miracle of Disney proportions if we even made the playoffs this year. This was never up for debate, even before the recent tragedy. We are dealing with injuries right now, but apparently so is everyone. For once it’s not just something falling mostly on us.

Here’s what I can say, this recent tragedy has been the ultimate low point, and it really truly only can go up from here. One thing I learned out of all of this, is that life is short. Instead of getting pissy, and bummed out and whatever, I’m gonna choose to be excited that we’re gonna have hockey back regardless. At least we have a team. At least we get to see the Jackets on the ice. We’ve got an outdoor game this year. We’ve got a lot to look forward to.

I’m excited, no matter what happens. I’m going to decide to stay positive all year this year no matter what. These boys deserve it. This fan base deserves it.

I refuse to get involved with the doomer posters this year. I won’t have it.

James Hagens here we come (wait this is the Jackets we don’t win draft lotteries)

Focus on learning good habits and developing the kids this year. Seems like at the very least Evason is going to teach everyone to play “the right way” and help the kids take a step.

looks like i’ll be watching less than 5 games again this year. sigh

Anyone have the latest draft scout rankings? Just wondering who we will get at #2 after Chicago is given the top pick….
