-Finley and Fortier are both injured and therefore ineligible to be sent down, are non-roster players

-With them removed, Brown and Geekie are the only notable players remaining

-Brown is still undergoing evaluation, and is still on a PTO

-Geekie is [currently practicing on the 3rd line](https://x.com/Gabby_Shirley_/status/1842937869972971551?t=3k0z0Au6KT6N_Lzr0Rn80A&s=19)

-Goncalves, Ylönen, and Santini will have to pass through waivers

Edit: Geekie is also [practicing on PP2,](https://x.com/Gabby_Shirley_/status/1842947249829212194?t=kSBU3o6HdF6qrjoYRIVN5A&s=19) guys he’s making the team

  2. Sounds like the team wants to keep Geekie up, as there’s a risk for us to lose Ylonen.

We still have three more cuts to go, but from what I read the deadline to move players to Syracuse was today. But maybe that’s players that have to go on waivers first.

Not sure where that leaves Brown. He signed a contract to play in Syracuse but he’s still part of the Lightning’s preseason roster. Maybe it’s because he’s hurt, like Finley and Fortier.

I like having Geekie up if he’s playing 3rd line for us with the potential of working his way up, but if he were on the bubble and one of the ones mixing in on the 4th line then he would’ve been better off playing in Syracuse

Unless Mikey and Chaffee are going to be 30-50 point offensive contributors like I think Pauly and Geekie can be, I think we’re better suited with them on the 4th line being agitators, physical, and reliable defensively alongside Glenny/Zemgus

Glad we’re keeping Crozier up because I believe he is NHL ready and can experiment throughout the year who will be the guys to cement that 3rd pairing
