General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have acquired D Erik Brannstrom from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Tucker Poolman (20% salary retained) and a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

Pierre Engvall has been placed on waivers with six years remaining on his deal… maybe a trade will happen for another player being pushed out
Looks like a classic cap dump trade by Vancouver given Brannstrom was a free agent during the summer and signed for cheap.

brannstroms development was completey shutdown in ottawa, they told him to not make any plays, when he was drafted as defensemen with play in him. can he figure that out in vancouver?

Timothy Lilegone! About damn time, I don't know what dirt he had on Keefe but we don't have to put up with him anymore. NO WAY they signed Engvall to 7 years!! Even at league minimum that would be a terrible signing. I really miss all the Isles fans telling us they stole Engvall from Toronto lmfao Okay. Dude is an average AHL player, but is huge so teams hope he can do something. Spoiler he never does anyhting. Hate hate hate 😉
Get Engvall, Oliver Wahlstrom and a 2nd rounder in 2025 for Liljegren, Jarnkrok and Steeves.
Robertson, Lorentz, Wahlstrom could be a cost-effective 3rd line for the Leafs; a goal scorer, a power forward and a C with size willing to muck it up.
You can have Engvall playing LW on the 4th line with someone else and Reaves and maybe Grebenkin becomes that RW on the 4th eventually to replace Reaves.
