That sucks hopefully Tuesday still happens

I wonder why tomorrow would be cancelled but opening night is still going on as of now? The ring ceremony is extremely low risk for anything tbh. Only a couple thousand fans, probably not as long as a game would be, less moving parts, hurricane isn’t approaching just yet. Weird

Damn good luck guys stay safe! From a Wisconsin Panthers fan

They also mentioned in the release that hosting would require the use of first responders that could be storm prepping and used elsewhere.

Canceling the game also need League approvals and would involve rescheduling, etc. That might still happen, but they don’t need to make that call yet.

The Panthers Foundation is still going to make their promised donations to the organizations that were going to benefit from the ceremony.

Ouch… that’s disappointing news, but I understand. I sincerely hope that opening night still happens (got my ticket and been super hyped as of late šŸ„²)

We stood in the pouring rain, thunder and lightning for hours for the parade.

You know, I was optimistic for both events happening as scheduled but after seeing this- yep. Get your Canucks tickets if you havenā€™t already.

Looks like weather continues to insist on ruining our celebration plans.

If they’re cancelling the Monday ring ceremony there’s less of a chance they go through with the game on Tuesday IMO. Sad but probably the right call.
