  1. Elias Solomonsson (Jets 2nd round draft pick in 2022) is also in the running for a roster spot!

  2. Laine might just need to retire. The guy has missed more hockey than he's played in the last few years because he is always injured, or so it seems.

  3. Imagine sitting out all year and getting paid 8.7 million. Athletes are so much better than us regular people

  4. Jeff Vinik will be considered (and was considered) one of the best owners in all of professional sports. What he did to our franchise (and community) was nothing short of remarkable. Especially for a franchise with a looooong and distinguished history of absolutely HORRIBLE owners and ownership groups. I'm extremely worried that the new guy is gonna F everything up.

  5. Laine is made of glass at this point. The dude gets hurt every year. Get used to it Habs fans. Look on the bright side. They can put him on LTIR with Price and Weber after one of his legs falls off and they can get some more cap space.

  6. This knee injury could be part of an amazing redemption story for Laine if he comes back and has something like 50 points in 45 games.

  7. Honzek has definitely been the big surprise, all the other young players I was expecting to be where they are at more or less, but man has he just rocketed up the list of game 1 players.

  8. Laine hasn’t played a full season since he was with the jets. It’s been 5 years. Compare him these past seasons compared to his first three. He looked so much stronger back then. Usually it is the opposite. He might score 20. He will debut January 1 or there about using December to train with team zI guess.

  9. Yesterday I actually felt a bit sorry for the Habs. After watching their disgusting behaviour against the Sens last night that sympathy has disappeared. Preseason and they were on a mission to injure as many players as possible. Awful, awful organisation.

  10. Cbus fan here, I was so excited when we got Laine, then he got hurt. Then he healed up and I was stoked again, then he got hurt. Then he heal up and I got stoked again, then he got hurt AGAIN.

  11. If you dont put in the effort, luck ends up not on your side.
    Some call it Karma.
I call it "making multi millions playing video games because youre good at a sport sometimes"

  12. Good to hear Laine will be back this season. Like others have said, I'm not even a Habs fan but I like to see the NHL's best players perform.

  13. Flames should play as many young guys as possible. There's a ton of talent in the cupboard, we are maybe a wildcard team at best, so may as well give the young guys as many looks and as much NHL experience as possible. I'm not expecting a stellar record, but we might surprise if some of the young guys step up large this year
