If Jiricek and Harris are in the press box watching JJ and Christiansen play while Provorov plays on the right side I will be in a psych ward by next weekend.

Oh boy that forward lineup stinks. Trying to be optimistic but I don’t see how this group doesn’t finish bottom 5 this year

That bottom pair defending an odd man rush is gonna be *ugly*. I’m sure Jiricek/Harris will be in the lineup soon enough. The roster straight out of camp never lasts so I’m not too worried.

Now if those D pairs last more than a few weeks? I might start drinking more at games

We are so cooked but hey at least hockey is back

So Fantilli gets two guys who shouldn’t be in the top 9. That’ll be great for his development.

Feel like KJ should be with Fantilli on line 2

That top line could be a *lot* of fucking fun and i’m here for it.

The other three… well, uh. i guess these things happen with the injuries we’ve got.

I don’t really mind the first line. Fantili and Johnson should be playing together. Defense is weak.

man this defensive lineup sucks. Makes me already skeptical of Evason. Christiansen isnt good enough and Harris should easily start over him. Really same for JJ. We arent going to be good, so no reason for Jiricek to ride the bench, he might as well play so he can learn and get better. Provorov struggles on his natural side, i dont think we need to put him on his off hand. The forwards are tougher, but now i just feel bad for Fantilli. Ill remain optimistic, in that the coach knows more than me, but it definitely doesnt instill confidence

After KJ’s preseason, how in the heck are we sticking him in the bottom 6 with Sillinger and Pyyhtia. What’s your messaging, “Hey Kent you played awesome, really worked hard, you looked great and were causing turnovers defensively, as well as, creating offense consistently for yourself and your teammates. You were easily the best forward throughout preseason. I think it would be great to stick you on the 3rd line. Keep working and you might just earn that spot in the top 6. But I want you to know that you’re gonna be a big part of our clubs future. We just want you in the bottom 6 with players who won’t help you get better or produce so that you start the season with confidence. You don’t deserve it, just keep working.”

It’s so tiring to be a Jackets fan. JVR is 35 and Labanc isn’t a future piece, just a body. How hard is it to think that you need to develop your elite talent and give them a chance after they have earned it. KJ went through this same crap with Larsen and PV. You want to be a “new” regime that’s gonna turn this around. Don’t do the same exact things the last abysmal staff did.

Sillinger is a good hardworking player. He has no offensive upside, that is what it is. He can shoot, but he doesn’t create offense on his own and he actually stifles offense multiple times a game because he’s not creative or skilled or misses the easiest offensive read or pass. Kent was literally ice cold and always has been when paired with Sillinger, but flourished with Fantilli and different line mates.

People already touched on the D. I just don’t get it at all. JJ is a 7th body and old. I think JC might be an ok 3rd pairing guy at some point, but Harris has better potential and is better now imo. Idk, this feels like prime Jackets hockey, not a new regime.

Pulling for our boys, of course, but these injuries have really done a number on our already thin lineup. Not ideal. I’ll be there opening night tho!

  12. We really don’t need to play Jack Johnson over Harris. I don’t know if Harris is any good but JJ is supposed to be a backup and mentor, not an everyday player.

Forward group is rough but we knew that and there’s also injuries. Would like to see KJ on Fantilli’s wing sooner rather than later.

Obviously Boone is the C, but are the A’s same as last year? Z, Kuraly, Guddy?
