  1. Teams that don't will any playoff rounds shouldn't be so close to the cap. Plus the Leafs are technically over the cap with bonus money that they will have to pay in 25/26. Still not out of cap hell since Jarnkrok and Hannaapa will be returning soon. Not a fleecing at all. Gonna be interesting next summer with the big contracts of Marner and Tavares expiring. Does any Leaf fan have any confidence in Trevliving to spend the cap wisely?

  2. I think this is the best all around roster they've had since kadri and i think we had ron hainsey as our best shut down d at that point lol

  3. Easton Cowan should have made it. He was tremendous for the London Knights. He would have played wonderful for the Leafs

  4. You guys are crushing it. Totally Leap frogged Leafs Morning Take. They took a summer break and you guys took over… No one likes all those Rogers woke Don Cherry haters anyway.. You guys should get Rosey to come join you haha

  5. They are probably thinking that someone else will be injured by the time they have to make a decision. I expect a lot of load management this year.

  6. But they kept that useless Max, what the hell are the leafs thinking . Give your head a shake Toronto.

  7. I am not sure how some paper juggling to dodge past cap mismanagement improves the team. It does buy them some time to try to move a few fringe players, but it has to be picks o AHL prospects to stay under the cap. Good maneuvering by the GM but he still has the same problem to deal with a month from now.

  8. Great dialogue as always, referencing a point made by Steve Dangle is the flexibility Chief has with lineup combinations.

  9. Patches did ok in pre-season and I like him but the Leafs don't need any more vets. Signing him was a mistake.

  10. I think the Liljegren experiment has got to be over at this point. Hope they can find someone who will take on his 3mil contract, but not sure he would even get picked up on waivers.

  11. MASTERCLASS? This is a team that signs Domi to a 4 year contract for around 5 million a year? Domi has played with 8 teams in 11 years, yes 8 teams in 11 years, and never made even close to that amount once. WHY? There were no challengers, why would there be? Now, it'll cost 20 million to get rid of him because no other team will take him. YEAH BABY, MASTERCLASS (in stupidity)!
