Not surprised that Aman makes it over Bains. Aman needed to be put on waivers to be sent down whereas Bains didn’t need it. Good asset management by the org.

So based on previous practise lines I’m guessing opening night is gonna look like this:
> Heinen – Miller – Boeser
> Debrusk – Petey – Sprong
> Hoggy – Raty – Garland
> Suter – Blueger – Sherwood
> Hughes – Hronek
> Soucy – Myers
> Forbort – Desharnais
That’s one sexy forward group, even without Joshua. I think we’re one middle pairing defenseman from being heavy contenders

It was nice to see Bains capitalize on some chances this pre-season, I certainly won’t be as worried about him if we end up needing him at any point of the season

I can’t believe Bains didn’t make the squad. I thought he played really well in preseason play.

It’s just so refreshing to see this turn around in the last couple years! Amazing actually. A deep forward group with exciting kids pushing for spots. A solid defense core with players playing a structured system that allows them to succeed. Cap management with an eye on adding more depth for a long playoff run. Management not afraid to cut bait when they see something isn’t working. Not doubling down on those players just to prove they weren’t wrong. Just forward thinking moves every step of the way. I know this should be how a team is run but after years of Benning one would be excused if they didn’t know that. Haha.

I know PDG was sent down for cap reasons, now that Poolman is off the books wouldn’t he be first to move back up?
