The Maple Leafs aren’t a contender anymore, there shouldn’t be pressure to win now if they’re being realistic. They’re a playoff caliber team but their days as a true Stanley cup contender are done. They don’t have the goaltending or the depth anymore that they had in previous seasons.

After watching these core players year after year, why would anyone think they can win anything. Because they can't.
I wouldnt be shocked if they didn't even make the playoffs
They need to be tough and abrasive so much that teams won't like to play them! They need to stop be darlings of the media for the wrong reasons
I thaught that marner would be traded for keller, josh doan and draft compunction. But no, NOTHING HAPPENED. if they lose in the first round… AGAIN, i wont be surprised.
Hopefully they can do it this year.
This franchise is a laughable joke and I sadly have cheered for them for 50 plus years. The smoke and mirros that they send fans; many still buy into it, makes me shake my head.
The day the leafs get rid of Morgan Reilly and get a defenceman who actually knows how to run a pp and move the puck on zone exits will be the day this team has a small chance
Leafs build a team like the Flyers of the 90’s. No defense or goaltending. Not gonna win it….
