  1. Nylander flopping trying to draw a penalty , Nylander should be criticized for how easy he went down , like come on

  2. Good grief, Adam, I respect the hustle but if you're going to sound like that just stay home, I feel like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is hosting the show.

  3. Robertson played well. Willie often plays a bit on the lazy side. Never criticize a player for playing with heart. Truth is Willie will not be able to be a centre going forward simply because although he is a talented player he is also a lazy player and you cannot play centre if you are lazy.

  4. The guy he took the puck from was Adam Engstrom, one of the Habs 3rd round picks from the 2022 draft. He just came to Norrh America this summer after playing for Rogle in the SHL.

A good prospect, but still not used to the speed or size of North American play/ice.

  5. Nylander flopped like the leafs in round one.

Robertson out there trying to win in pre-season and ya’ll dumping on the kid.

  6. Sorry Steve, it was a dive.
Hockey pants are thick enough that it doesn’t matter where the blade is, it won’t touch a sensitive spot.

Also, Robertson, can’t get in the zone because Nylander is going 25% of his speed and is in Robertson’s way.

This is Nylander attempting to draw a penalty and it backfired.

  7. Thankfully people correctly understand Willy and his diving and lazy style of play… and yet people want him to be an NHL centre?!! Any kid who grew up playing hockey can tell you what it's like playing with a player who's a 'cherry picker' (a talented player who ONLY plays in the offensive zone and waits for scoring opportunities)…. sound like anyone we know who just signed an NHL top-10 dollar contract with no movement clauses?! The Leafs are my team and have been for over 40yrs but they totally deserve the rotten-core results they refuse to learn from.

  8. The Robertson stick push was idiotic. Montreal already had the puck and was turning up ice. Plus, the Leafs had 2 defenders back.

  9. There is absolutely 0 logic in this discussion. You first state that this type of thing happens all the time. Then act as though Robertson making the decision to help his teammate with the best chance to help break up the play, with a play you have acknowledged happens a lot, is an idiot. I also cannot understand how the discussion even begins to hover around whether or not Robertson makes the line-up. Nylander went down way too soft, that alone should be the discussion. Your fake take on it being a dive was actually the only smart thing said, unfortunately you negated that when you took it back.

  10. Focus on what matters …i think making a mountain out of a mole hill, isn't doing anyone, anything…
Let's watch Robertson grow as a player this year… he has it in him, he's a good player and he wants to win.

    I have faith in him…

Sorting out the cap space is a whole different question…😮

  11. So agree he needs to work harder and do extra to grab a regular spot, works hard- steal puck and scores, then say he did too much by going the extra mile and giving Willy a shove, can’t have it both ways. He has to work hard all the time, they all do. Get over this mishap and move on

  12. Check Quant hockey. Check hockey reference. Now compair Robertson's stats against others. Leaf's stiffed Robertson on his contract like they have done to so many because the core 4 as a whole is over paid.

  13. Too much being made of this. Kudos for Coach keeping Nick on his regular shift giving him a chance to learn from a mistake.

  14. Everyone makes mistakes there are veteran players that still make bone head plays and should be expected by a young player trying to do whatever it takes to make this team no one is perfect end of story move on

  15. I dont know how this is a discussion. Hes doing the most common thing ive ever seen. He has a maximum of .5 seconds to make thay decision. He made the right play if Nylander doesnt get hurt

  16. What is it with Toronto boomers and their OBSESSION with hating Nylander? I truly, truly don’t understand it.

  17. Nylander concussing himself this way is the most Maple Leafs thing i seen in 2024.
Cant wait to see how they top this in the playoffs

  18. How can Toronto be the worst city for evaluating hockey talent? Nico Robertson is going to score 25 goals this year and you guys act like he’s not good enough to make the team

  19. Leafs are always the leafs 😅😅. All you clowns wanted change and the core 4 are still there lol good luck with that 👍

  20. It’s funny the only person who’s been scoring goals the last two games is Nick Robertson. The fans have pretty much accepted him in the line up, yet these guys, tv talking heads and sportsnet all are making exposés of his ‘mistakes’ and opportunities. Why do they want to see him gone so much?

  21. I have seen that stick push play many of times. It was a fluke thing. Let’s give the kid a break.
