Funny thing how contracts work in the NHL, you can’t just end them without long-term consequences. Ask the Minnesota wild

When asked about who his favorite teammate is, Nate says without hesitation “Gabe”
When asked what Val has to do for him to welcome him back with open arms, he says “nothing” because he’s already forgiven.
How about you let the player speak for himself, which he has, about what he deserves and wants.

Keeler is quickly becoming known as the single worst beat writer in town

Oh look, the sun rose, and there’s another dumb Denver Post opinion.

Can’t read without a subscription but that headline sounds like a Kiszla article, though I don’t think he’s with the post any more. But also like what other options do they really have?

I hate this whole premise

Yes, let’s just go back to the dark ages and trade Makar as well.

Lumping Nichushkin and Landeskog together is just about the quickest way to light your credibility ablaze as I can think of.

It’s frustrating that after our cup run we haven’t really seen our full strength team.
Landy and Val being out has really hurt the multiple title window.
That being said what does this writer want us to do? Write off Landy and Val? Not sure NHL contracts work that way.
Trade them?

Yup it’s official the dumb post are back so that can only mean it’s hockey season again

I just fucking knew this was that idiot Keeler before I opened it. Dude’s looking to get kicked out of Avs media sessions too. He’s a worse than Kizla – which I didn’t think was possible.

I really hope Landy makes it back and ideally can still hold his own in a mid6 role. Seems unlikely but would be awesome.
But articles like this are way too premature. I don’t think it’s a forgone conclusion he even comes back. IMO right now is mostly about staying under the cap to accrue while Nuke’s salary doesn’t count against anything. It is the smart move.
Again if he makes it back that’s fantastic, but if not we can throw him onto LTIR when Nuke returns and have a huge chunk of salary to work with at the deadline or earlier to bring in any missing talent.
