  1. Demmer is a gamer, he'll definitely fully recover and the canucks will manage his play time for playoffs this season. I don't doubt he'll be good to go for playoffs

  2. i think demko has worked too hard in his career both in the number of games he has played and how hard he works in practice.. i believe this has contributed to this injury.. hopefully he will get back to 100 % and to not overwork himself in both practices and games… 50 games maximum.. and do the practice time but dont over do it is my 2 bits

  3. This doesnt good tbh. Im concerned that he is going to continue to get injured. Or, hes gonna come back and not be the same after this injury or another one like it. Unfortunately to win a cup, the star goalie needs to be healthy pretty much all season and especially playoffs.

  4. Press: "Thatcher, good to see ya"

Thatcher answer 1: "Thanks you too"

    Thatcher answer 2: "Youre welcome"

    Correct answer to media: "Yeah"

  5. But WHAT IS the injury? Cartilage? Ligaments? Bone? I know I tore up cartilage and my knee was NEVER the same: never stable, never trustworthy.

  6. Until she said it "just to clarify, it's a knee injury?" 7 mins in I was like what are we talking about lol.

  7. Awesome Dude. He's a good man and a great goalie, wishing him the best in his recovery. He's being very honest with the media, so I respect him for that. He's a warrior, he'll work through the injury and the pain.

  8. When he says it's muscle related it reminds me of a buddy of mine who got hit with an IED in Afghanistan. His legs were broken, but the worst was one of the muscles near his knee was torn from the bone, and that was the thing that took the longest to heal. He was back up and walking around after two months, but that muscle injury took a lot longer to heal. He qualified to redeploy after six months and was super fit and back in Afghanistan after nine months. His legs still hurt, but he'd built up other muscles to compensate for the weak one, which never fully healed. He said he felt he had stronger legs afterwards simply because of all the rehab and legwork he'd done, so hopefully Thatcher will be working on strengthening his other leg muscles to compensate, and he doesn't have to deal with broken bones and being blown up, so his recovery should be quicker.

  9. Did he get bit by a snake on a golf course like sami salo? He's fine a bit to much media guessing. Relax guys he's at camp.and will be back soon.

  10. So, are we EVER going to be informed of what this incredibly "unique" injury is?! Seriously, WTH, Thatcher? This interview was entirely futile.
