expected goal differential is an interesting one because it relies a lot on deployment. Some of the named guys there have pretty low defensive zone starts, which is a loose approximation to their ratio of time spent in the D-zone. But using expected goals instead of something tangible does invite in error when a team as a whole over/under performs what is expected. isolating out this factor, i think, would rank karlsson a bit lower or more outside that group of 9.
