Felt Bad Until…

Oilers got 0-6’d by a worse team. Avs lost by 4. Leafs shut out. It’s the first game, it happens. We have a lot of new pieces so this is expected. I’d rather have a slow start and get hot with Dubas’ “plan” then start mediocre because we have the same losing squad that’s gel’d a little more.

Just like any major sports, especially watching the NFL this year, anything can happen. If we already knew who was going to win or lose they wouldn’t play the game.

It’s almost like it’s only the first game of the season

The Oilers still played a lot better than the Pens tho.

People on this sub are the most whiny, negative ass people I’ve come across ever. It was the first game of the season and the Rangers are a really good team

7.2 goals a game and 3 of the 10 teams didn’t even score lol

It’s not that we got blown up by a really good Rags team. It’s that the exact same issues still exist from last year with zero improvement. And somehow, in his 20th season in the nhl Sid is still by far our best player and that’s not a good thing. I still can’t believe nobody went after the Ranger who ran Jarry.

Still feels bad regardless of how shitty some of the other teams performed lol. But hey, it’s only one game, so hopefully they right the ship soon

Winnipeg is most definitely not a worse team than the pens, but boy did Jarry drop the ball on this one. Let’s regroup and hope for the best tonight!

In my experience, a bad start is better than a good one. Hope the stats is on our side.

  10. I see a lot of people complaining about Jarry. I see more people supporting him. I’ve missed any comments about his propensity for allowing goals in the first few minutes of the period and the last few minutes of the period. Does anyone else find that to be maddening? How can the skaters stay confident when that happens to the game after game after game?
