It’s literally the exact same as last year. Nothing looked different. I’ve wanted to give Sullivan a lot of leash but after the last few years and nothing changing it’s gotta be time for Sullivan to go and get a different head coach in here. Sid doesn’t deserve this for the rest of his career.
Dan, great to see you again! Still looking young! On a serious note, you say that it's the same old same old problems… when do we point fingers at Sully? I know it's early, but there seems to be no signs of change. No attacking the net, and poor transition play. New players seem like resetting the deck chairs on the Titanic. Not optimistic thus far.
Dubas is not good at constructing a team. Guy gets a karlsson say what you will about getting rid of players. But the guy is not a winner. Let’s go of guentzeL. Say what you will about the money but he’s a winner. The guys approach to building a roster outside of top 6 is to throw spaghetti at the wall with a bunch of 13th forwards and 4th liners on other teams in hopes of someone having a breakthrough season. Oh a can’t evaluate goaltending talent as seen my his resume with goalies.
Maybe a larger sample size would be better before we call for firings. Unfortunately the decision to sign shorter contracts came a year too late. Jarry isn't making it easy to make a trade possible. Hopefully they show up vs Det
My eye test revealed a slow and lumbering team even compared to last season. They only had legs for the 1st period..nervous exhaustion with all the new players and the home opener or are they just a slow/lumbering team? Tonites game will reveal more.
Here is something nobody seems to mention. This team down 4-0 showed zero emotion. None. That has been an identity issue for this team for five years now. At some point someone has to show some rage.
