  1. The Leafs attempt more cute plays than any other team in the league. Marner had a takeaway a couple of minutes into the game in the defensive zone. He pivoted into a mohawk before the red line and saw he had a player with him. He decided he was passing that puck before he made it halfway down the ice, instead of attempting to burn the defenseman down the wing and going to the net.

  2. No bloody puck luck against the Habs , 4 dingers off the Iron if just one goes in we get at least a good road point 🙄🤦‍♂️ I liked the play of stolie the goalie, Tanev was ok as well, as was Patches, Nylander, Matthews & Marner looked rusty offensively! Man was the Leafs not being shutout the longest NHL streak ever that seems like a long one 🤔🤷‍♂️🙄

  3. Wow its sad. I understand when youre looking for positivity in something. But the worst thing is having a 54m line on PP do nothing. What a shitty time to be a leafs fan. Im saying this as a habs fan btw. Not saying the habs are better but you guys literally have Matthews nylander and marner. Theyre wasting their careers because of Dubas crappy moves and you guys go along with it.

  4. When you have close to 60 million dollars invested in 5 guys and they can't muster what it takes to beat a bottom of the barrel team like Montréal, a team that completely and utterly humiliated you in the playoffs 3 short years ago, I don't think this bunch of rich figure skaters are going to ever get it done…they should annihilate Montreal every time they play them…the Toronto Maple Leafs, the team that loves to humiliate their fans and themselves on a regular basis. It's the team that loves embarrassing themselves. Don't give me this friggin we got goalied BS…

  5. Man I moved from Toronto back home to calgary a month ago then this happens. STEVE COME TO CALAGEY< WE GOT LOTS OF LEAFS FANS HERE

  6. Stolarz was fucking great no doubt about it , the 1 goal he gave , 99% of goalies wont stop that so , even tho im not a leaf fan by any metric , its good to see them have a more than half decent goalie.

  7. Yep…Here we go again…. Watching this particular LFR video made me smile early this morning. Not because of the Leafs losing, but I spotted a dear friend of mine behind you. Haven't seen them in awhile since I moved out of Toronto.

  8. Montembeaults performance will NOT be sustainable. More so than most goalies in the league l. Let them enjoy this fleeting moment

  9. I’d like to point out that the reining Stanley cup runner ups, who was considered by many to be the team with the highest chance of winning the cup and the player described as Wayne Gretzky 2.0, just got blasted 6-0. I think we can safely say that game number 1 may not be the glaring indicator of the season that everyone is talking about.

  10. as a stars fan im a little mad at your team for taking tanev from us and leaving us with “matt dumba” and “ilya lyubushkin” just to get out-battled game 1 by a rebuilding team despite your new mr. physical coach. give us liljegren and we’ll be back on good terms and i will stop making fun of the leafs.

  11. Stolarz is gonna sleepwalk his way to being the number 1. Career backup who’s hungry for a shot vs kid who can’t stay healthy to save his life .

  12. My first season in minors the coach said to me was that when they lay out the ice they bury 20 goals inside the blue paint and it was my job to dig them up.

That’s the guy that the Leafs need. The digging-in-the-paint guy.
