Crazy that they were able to figure out what a woman is
If you were a hockey fan you'd know that Seattle SPECIFICALLY is huge on their media presence. This is 100% for the attention that comes with the hire. Watching her first game she was interviewed in between periods instead of Bylsma (Krakens actual head coach)… since when do we interview ASSISTANTS? 😂. They also made SURE to give her a moment to draw up a play for the boys so the media could get their pics… while the team seemed genuinely uninterested with what she drew up for them lol. If you didn't know any better you would think she was Krakens new head coach.
How do coach if you have to ask every time you walk into the lockroom " is it ok for me to come in"😂😂😂
Jason's correct. it's the same mindset for soldiers who deploy when it applies to female soldiers.
It is common for women to be coaching male players in hockey. London Knights use a female for skating techniques. She is an assistant coach. It is the head coaches job to do the hard work with players like "yelling". This is a nothing burger.

Campbell was a great player, and a very smart hockey player. Hockey is evolving beyond the Bobby Clobber era when dumb and mean was all it took. Women's hockey is in many ways more entertaining to watch then some of the poorer NHL teams that only can play defence. In fact Game Seven a couple months ago was boring as shit. It isn't important to have danglies between the legs to be a good coach, it is important to have brain matter between the ears.

Doesn't your criticism speak to the problem, though? Men need to be able to do two things: control themselves around women they aren't romantically involved with, and accept criticism/discipline from a coach regardless of who the coach is. You're saying she shouldn't be in that position because men can't do those two things. That's troubling, isn't it? Should we just sit back and say, "oh well, men are men, and that's just the way it is," or should we acknowledge that men need to change? I find it disturbing that two men can't realize that other men should be able to control themselves around women.
There is the NHL & THE PWHL for a reason
Kinda like a hardship tour in Korea. There are very few female soldiers, especially up north, we call them queen for a year. But also, they are one plane ride from being a 3 again.
She worked her way up as a coach “ but did she? Quick Wikipedia search shows she had 1 year of actual assistant coaching in AHL before getting the NHL job.. 1 year and got a spot in the NHL
I agree with Jason- once you bring in a coach with one year experience regardless of woman or man it shows you aren’t serious about winning

As a huge hockey fan, this is a disgrace. No NHL player is taking advice from a 32 year old blonde chik. No NHL player is gonna be lectured by a female, PERIOD. Like Whitlock said, this is a disaster waiting to happen. Leave the woke crap to the NBA. THIS IS THE NHL, A MANS MAN SPORT!!!

I was born in 1956, my dad was a real sports fan and fitness coach who started a health club and also was sports and activities director at the Correction facility but he wasn't all that familiar with hockey but I changed that around 5 th grade, i became a true fan and listened to games on AM radio, Detroit, St.Louis and Chicago, very little hockey on TV, i was the 1st kid in my small town to play street hockey, my dad and brother followed suit and we loved the NHL as well as minor league hockey which we attended, NOW i can barely stand to watch it, they have completely destroyed a sport and league i gave my heart and soul to, it is completely heartbreaking for this to happen to me and other long time fans at this stage in my life, Jason- do me a favor- find a game from the 70's on YouTube and watch it, the stark difference will put it all into perspective and you will understand my words, thanks 🙏
