As a newish hockey fan (2nd full season; thanks shoresy), I love just about every aspect of the game itself and the players’ passions for it.
However, with the constant roster and management and even ownership changes – it feels like that tale of if you change every board on a ship, at what point is it considered a new ship? what exactly is the ship i’m supposed to find to support?
so far, i’m drawn to certain players individually or as groups as well as teams with names or colors I happen to like. but the trades and coach changes just in the past couple years have been staggering. I’m finding it absolutely impossible to pick a favorite team. (I do not find this to be a problem except when daydreaming of what could be “if so and so was still there 🥺” lol)

As a Leafs fan, at this point, Im just counting Woll as the #3 goalie. If he can play games, it's a bonus. He simply can't be relied upon. It's a shame because he has so much potential. But all the talent in the world means nothing if you're always too hurt to play.
