My Dad passed on Oct 1st , my 40th was on the 4th, he had 3 boys he tried to make Habs fan but always followed their mom and the leafs , tonight I was pulling for the Habs…My pops played goalie in pick up all his life, was a postman…He met Ken Dryden in an elevator and my dad had mentioned about a picture of his in his goalie gear with a puck in his mouth, he saw Dryden a few days later,showed him the pic and Dryden broke up laughing and signed it " to my #1 protègè" miss you pops, and a 1-0 shutout I know you had something to do with it!
Perhaps his teammates will soon do better… The best opportunities were literally 'given on a gold plate' to the Leafs … and with 27 (!!!!) shots more !
