The Sabres might be the worst team in hockey, there’s no doubt they’re missing the playoffs again and the NHL Draft doesn’t offer any real value. You can’t draft your way out of the hole in hockey, the kids are too young to play at the next level and too young to properly evaluate. Free agency is nonexistent in the NHL, you couldn’t buy a good team with unlimited cap space because the best players in hockey are under team control longer than they are in other professional sports leagues. Might as well start watching the NBA if you’re a Sabres fan…
