OK Guys.. it’s time to breakdown game one of the regular season between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs! The Habs won this game by a score of 1-0. Cole Caufield scored the only goal of the game however goaltender Samuel Montembeault.. Stole the show with an unbelievable performance.. Let’s talk about it!

Honestly, with the scoring opportunities the Habs had in the first, it could have been a higher scoring game. We got lucky that the Leafs hit so many posts too. But, god damn, Monty our boy going down in the record books for this one!!
I saw Monty play when he was down here in Florida. I thought he played a stellar game and i wish he hadn't gone. Well I like Bob and knight so I'm good. But still 3 good goalies is better than 2 lol

He really wasn’t. he didn’t have many high danger plays to stop, a couple robberies. But most saves were muffins from the top of the circles. Leafs had no screens, he saw everything. He just took a ton of pucks to the logo.
Montembeault lives 5 minutes from my house…Met him a couple this last summer he's a very polite and down to earth young man…I will not say exactly where he lives but,I'll give you a hint,,,,Somewhere in Trois Rivières, Québec.He prefers to be called Sam instead of Monty…

I didn't know he was actually Chewbacca, he must be like a 100 yrs old? The main questions is though, does he have a translator, or how does that work. He should grow his hair out again, it looks more bad ass when it's longer like when he did those movies.

It was a great game, Montembeault put on his best Jacques Plante (you can't get any higher praise then that in my book) impression. The Leafs played pretty well, but couldn't catch a break, Stolarz looked good. It was fun to watch.
