  1. When you consider the off season adds that Utah made, they didn’t surprise me with the win. They are farther along than Chicago is in terms of building a winning club.

  2. It's amazing when you have management who cares, a city who cares and full fan support. Arizona and Winnepeg were only able to keep the fan support.

  3. I'm And Avalanche Fan Since Birth But Living In Utah For The Past Couple Years, I've Loved watching this team build and become something that could definitely be playoff worthy.

  4. As I was driving home, I was listening to the Utah feed. I thought the radio guys were doing a nice job explaining the game to the new audience. I know some of my Canadian friends won't agree with this, but that's how you grow the game. I'm pretty confident that more than many fans at the Delta Center last night referred to the puck as a ball…it's ok, they will learn and get better.

  5. FYI, the current Utah Hockey Club's origins AND LEAGUE were Winnipeg and the WHA. The Winnipeg Jets were born into the WHA back in 1972, then were merged into the NHL for the 1979-80 season. They lasted in Winnipeg in the NHL until the 1995-96 season, then moved to Phoenix, Arizona and became the PHOENIX Coyotes. Then a few seasons later became the ARIZONA Coyotes. Last summer they moved to Salt Lake City and are now known as the Utah Hockey Club.

  6. Michigan , and basically any other goal has become so common now not sure what the shocker is ANYONE tries it , first game , last game , game 7 , finals game 7 , it's a hockey play . That's it ,

  7. Utah has potential. I'm not saying they're cup champions right now, but they certainly have potential. It's exciting to see these players finally experience a barn that has their back.

  8. it was an actual good game, the hawks looked good on the comeback, bedard trying to stick up for foligno was great. murphy fucking dogged on durzy lol i can't believe he was trying to fight him after that. guenther was great, and so was cooly. bedard actually won some draws too, thats a huge w for him, i hope he can continue that, and play with the edge he had in jrs. one thing to remember, the yotes looked like the best team in the nhl to start last season, don't get too high on em yet

  9. Another abysmal year on tap for the Hawks. 2 – 3 goals for is about all you can expect from this team. At least with NBCSC and NBCSC+ far fewer will be watching their games this year. No wonder that NO Chicago channel even mentions the city's pro hockey team at all on any of their sports segments of their newscasts. You need to go online in Chicago for any Hawks news, but you'll get bears 24/7/365.

  10. Hawks were great after the first and Utah got a win in their first ever game, as a Hawks fan I cant even be mad that was a great atmosphere

  11. Season tickets holder at the Delta Center…loving this team. I am 100% in on a playoff spot for Utah, same teammates gave a push last year that almost resulted in a spot. This year they have an owner and fans that are giving them energy.

  12. FIRE that d man…. you cant give 100% then go home.. there are a ton of excellent D men who would due that job if they could only get a chance..

  13. Guenther was already my favorite player on the team, then last night happened! I was there and it was awesome! Go Gunner! Go Utah!

  14. What a crowd, electrifying as all hell and I love it. Also, what a contrast between Smith and Bettman; complete street cred' right next to complete businessman

  15. Maybe Sergachev thought Beds was baiting him into throwing a hit just to juke around him. A hit would have been epic but missing that hit would have been embarrassing.
