I know he’s not the type of player that Tocc/Foote/Gonchar seem to like to use on the 2nd and 3rd pairing (they like big bruising, net front clearing PK guys) but management should seriously be looking at acquiring Liljegren from Toronto. Soucy-Liljegren, Forbort-Myers or Soucy-Myers, Forbort-Liljegren would be a step up from what we saw last night from our back end with both Forbort and Desharnais

Juulsen’s a bit of a surprise. Might not be as physical or hands-on as Vinny, but he seems a bit more consistent. Going to be interesting to see how that bottom pair evolves over the next few weeks.

Not a big fan of either player but I’ve liked Desharnais more than I’ve liked Forbort, and thought Friedman looked pretty decent in preseason, imho a Friedman-Desharnais pairing would be better.
Also, painful to see Hoggy in the 4th line 🥲

What’s the point of practicing Sprong with EP/Brusky if Toch is gonna lose trust in him and end up playing him only 13 mins a night?
Hogs had a great game, and finished with 5th most minutes of all the forwards after the clear top 4. Go ahead and drop him on one of those top lines, yo.
