Sean Couturier did not have a strong 2023-24 season. Despite a promising start, and being named captain, Coots finished the season averaging under 14 minutes of ice time per game. But he is a tenured veteran with 30 career power play goals. So it’s a little surprising to see Jett Luchanko and not Couturier centering the second power play unit.

He had a bad year having come off major back problems. If he does not have a good season serious considerations need to be made to buying him out. He will only get worse

The Flyers probably should have left the team without a captain. Now things like this look bad.
Slow…..Slow…..Slow…..horrible contract we are stuck with.
Way too slow. Hopefully he proves himself healthy and ready to go this year.

Easy explanation is that the Flyers overplayed him early last season and burnt him out… I'm sure Torts wants to lower his minutes so that we get a better Coots for longer stretches of the season.
To slow, no offense and shys away from ANY physicality.. its embarrassing to have him as C
