Honestly even though Shesterkin is one of the best, no goalie right now is worth over 11 million. Adin Hill has more cups than Shesterkin. You could sign a goalie to 3 million and they lock in and help you get the cup.
Wow shocker blues want another aging defenseman who makes 6.5 million. We just love that cap hit apparently. Krug, Parayko, Faulk, and Schenn all 6.5😭😂
Liljegren FOR Fowler. Maybe some salary retained or picks in the mix. One hand washes the other
Flyers have quite a but of 2nd/3rd pairing dmen and Torts has spoken highly of Risto this preaseason and mentioned how much the team needs him, so doubtful the team would look to move Risto anytime soon, and if so doubtful they would move him in a deal for another 2nd/3rd pairing dman. I would think if they move Risto if would be sometime in 2025 and maybe for a 2nd or in a package

If Risto can stay healthy, he is going to be pretty solid as a 3rd pairing guy. He has become much more consistent since his early days being deployed as a 1st pairing guy on a historically-bad Sabres team as a 19-20 year old… which, not shockingly, was not great for his development. Hey may get traded, but I don't see big upside swapping him for Liljegren.
Why would St.Louis go after cam fowler when they want to get younger? Makes zero sense.
Flyers are going to make sure they have cap space to take a swing at Kaprizov. We are definitely looking to clear up the cap that that dope Fletcher put us in so Risto going would help that even if a trade we take back something less.
The 3 1st rounders this year to go with 3 2nds, which 1 is Anaheims, who is not expected to make the playoffs obviously, and another I am pretty sure is Cbus, which we all know their situation. So 3-1sts and possibly 2 of their 2nds in the 1st 5-7 picks in 2nd round. That is good capital to make a big trade obviously and I honestly think with MM getting here 2 seasons earlier than originally expected it pushes the timeline up a little.
The Wings should make a trade for Liljegren. Maybe trade Maatta. He'd be a good depth option for the Leafs. Detroit is light on the RHD position. He might need a change of scenery.
