On the blue line, Noah Juulsen might replace Vincent Desharnais alongside Derek Forbert.

That game last night was embarrassing. Absolutely no effort for 2 periods. Cant blame silovs for the lost. Like no forward challenged any guys of calgarys dmen at top of blue line. Try to even block a shot or try get a stick on it.
The way is going now looks like we will have the 3rd overall pick in the draft. So look like it could be Anton Frondell from Sweeden (left shot center) I wonder how he will fit in ? Just kidding 🙂

I don't think that was the plan with Silovs. I would think that Toch would put Silovs in to give him the opportunity to take the first string goaltender duties by performing at a high level. The grind of the regular season 82+games is much different the a ten day do or die tourney. You seen that last evening with our up and coming prodigy. This is not a knock on Silovs as he is a really really really good goal tending prospect but he really needs to put the work in as a backup and see if he can handle that. Lankinen is similarly challenged in that he has to put the work in to prove he is a number 1 goal tender when there seems to be a void of them at this time, when his team needs him the most. I predicted that the goal tending would be poor for the first 20 games as both goal tenders have to work to find their game in their new depth roll. Toch probably has to pull someone for such a bad game execution, there defensive structure was non existent. I think you got it correct Clay, should be a good opportunity for the depth guys to come in and show their worth. For me The Jewel is the dark horse. That guy has high level skills and low level emotional intelligence. The key to that is stop thinking for fucks sake. I love that guy he could be bigger than anyone thinks. He has game.

It wasn't the lines. It was the fact that the team stopped playing for the final 2 periods. You can do that against any team in the league and expect to win. The d core is weak. Splitting hronek and Hughes is necessary. The rest of the pairings are way too slow.
