How does the NHL still think this is a good idea? More annoyingly, I’m in Winnipeg, just on mobile data waiting for my wife at superstore (it works at home). Same problem in the Rogers Ignite App. Just infuriating.
Do you have a VPN on your phone because it works if you don’t.

I have a TSN subscription and live in Ottawa. 🤷♂️

Seems like a mobile data issue. I’m in Winnipeg, watching off the TSN app, and it’s not blacked out.

I have the same issue at home with Xplore. I get a New Brunswick IP address with them so TSN blacks me out.

It sometimes depends on your ISP. Sometimes my Rogers phone shows I am in Calgary or Vancouver.

UPDATE: After getting home and deciding to look into it deeper, turns out it wasn’t Rogers, it was iCloud Private Relay, which was set to “Maintain General Location”, which was putting me in Minnesota, just south of the border in Lake of the Woods. After switching it to “Keep time zone and country” it worked.
So yes, it was a VPN issue, but the built in one I don’t think about, not the separate service I pay for.
I still want to point out that Blacking Out any service that I actually pay for, no matter where I am, is just ridiculous. And as many of you have pointed out, a reason for the high seas. Just blows me away how companies keep making it harder to get the content I’m willing to pay for…

Yeah, the blackout restrictions are super frustrating, especially when you’re on the go. I’ve been in the same way before, and it feels like it’s getting more complicated to watch NHL games this season. I switched to pinibuy IPTV, and it’s been a solid option no blackouts, and I can watch anywhere

Is there a good VPN service that I can set to Winnipeg so I can watch games? Last time I bought one Winnipeg wasn’t an option.
