I’m curious – is it normal for players with a similar IR status as Laine to still go to games and practices regularly like he has been lately? From my perspective its awesome and shows dedication but maybe its normal and isn’t something we should be sharing every time we see him.
I maybe wouldn’t expect to see him travelling with the team all the time but going to games and a few practices to watch from the sidelines seems reasonable despite an injury.

Sprained my ankle while playing dek hockey yesterday evening. Walking around in crutches today, I feel your pain my dude Laine.

What I appreciate about this situation is that when he is prepared to play, he will already be familiar with the plays because he has been attentively observing. I am certain that he is also engaging in conversations with the other players, which is another positive aspect in terms of team morale.
