The Vancouver Canucks fall 3-2 in a shootout to the Philadelphia Flyers in a tough one, JT Miller and Elias Pettersson haven’t exactly found their footing yet and the Canucks have yet to play a full 60 minute effort. Nils Hoglander, Kevin Lankinen, Kiefer Sherwood and Conor Garland looked good, but other than that it needs to be better from the top guys. Matvei Michkov also played in his NHL debut.

I actually hate our fan base. We have the equivalent points of 1 win and 1 loss and everyone is off the bandwagon already. Just like Oilers fans.
They need to stop being so sloppy. They kept fumbling passes and screwing up stickhandles and it was just turnover after turnover seemingly every play. I'm hoping this is just rust from a lazy summer.

One positive is that they dropped two stinkers and played like shit but still walked away with points. Definitely not all bad if on the worst nights you’re still getting at least something.
People say it’s only two games, but for Petey it’s been half a season, a playoffs, a preseason and two games of lacklustre play. So when is it okay to feel concern about this guy?
Petey does have the mentality or the strength to be a top goalscorer in the league. I hope I am wrong but I just do not see any sign that he has what it takes to find a way to be a player who is actually worth 11.6mil.

I’m not worried in the slightest about the team. What concerns me is Petey scamming the team 11.5 million dollars and getting away with it. A scam is paying for something and not getting full value in return. That is literally what he’s doing
It's not like they have lost to cup contenders, they have lost to 2 non-playoff teams, at home! They have not looked good in either game. They should not be going to OT or a shootout against either one of those teams, if they are supposed to be legitimate playoff contenders. Anyone who is happy with those 2 games is an idiot.
