As a new Red Wings fan, seeing them open the season by allowing 6 goals then allowing 0 goals to an arguably better team gives me a good idea of how this season is about to go 😅
The Red Wings have 1 big problem. A very good roster of players is not it. The coach needs to be replaced. It was obvious late last season and we all thought YZ would make a change immediately following the season. Long time Red Wings player Gerrard Gallant is not coaching. He played with Yzerman when YZ was a rookie. Without a new coach this group of talented players will not make the playoffs. Also, the guy who played like an mvp last year was Alex Lyon. Unless he is hurt he should be playing.
Great to see the NHL running again. Thanks to the NHL for the highlights tonight. Much better than putting up with the Maple Leaf Kool-Aid on the Canadian sports networks.
