Poor Benny fucking getting so many penalties. Myself as a former defenceman I feel Simone Benoit is what the leafs have needed for a while, I know Berube likes him but fuck refs need to stop hating on the milk man!
I am thrilled with Stolarz. This is, so far , the best goaltending I ve seen the Leafs have since Eddie Belfour. Real good second and third by Mitch. We know its in there somewhere just let it out.

The new look leafs are looking fun and energetic. Our goalies are looking top notch. We haven't had that in a long time. The leafs are marking the point shots much stricter than under Keefe despite Holmberg's goof up on his point man coverage. Benoit has got to stop taking penalties.
Glad Willy didn't have a headache today. It's nice to see him play hockey.

marner played well tonight
It’s too early to say, but Berube has a grip on this team that no other coach did. The core plus the depth is a new team than in the last 6 years. I think there’s a new understanding of what eachs rolls are and I personally think I see a difference so far even since pre season. Keeping guys like max and nick and tightening up the defense, I think this year is the year the leafs are the team to beat down the stretch and hopefully the playoffs.
