Fuckit. See youse guys Tuesday!
Fuck it Michkov got a point
Appreciate a teammate who stands up for his guys, but there’s a time place and players that are paid for that role. Forster didn’t deserve a 10 but that hurt
81-1 is still on the table!!!!
Fedotov looks lost
i hope michkov’s career doesnt go the way of giroux, always looking for a number 2 that never really came
we need a scorer, not a passer
can anyone answer what drysdale is supposed to be good at instead of just downvoting? he isnt good defensively and for an offensive defenseman he doesnt provide much
Don’t need to be 4-0 on the road trip
If we are 2-2 coming back to Philly you absolutely take that. This team is young and the Western Canada roadtrip is rough
I think u/duoet fell asleep, but we all know she would have said
> 81-1-0 is still on the table
Luchanko needs to play and needs to stay up. Fedotov the first 2 I was like eh don’t hold against him but he just doesn’t look good. Back to back games on the road on the west coast opening the season sucks ass
It’s crazy how good Michkov is. He is seeing and creating plays before his own teammates even realize what’s going on. His linemates need to begin getting this kid the puck every opportunity they can so he can control the play, just like Edmonton does with Mcdavid.
Honestly I’m not even mad at this game. Tk got 2. Meech got a point. Brink looks thicc and has chemistry with beez nuts. Fedotov made some decent saves considering our defense looked like ass tonight. I definitely don’t blame him for the loss.
2 pp goals in 2 games is already an improvement from last season.
Not much to take from the second game of a back-to-back to literally open the season. It’s clear that fatigue caught up at the end, especially given the effort to try to tie it at 3.
The most important thing about this game is of course, Michkov’s first point. Keep ’em coming, my man.
They’re tired and I’m tired
The defense group is atrocious but at least Michkov looked great. TK could put up some massive numbers w/ an actual top line mate and working PP …
Foerster looks super comfortable and confident as well
Drysdale, Zamula, Johnson making up half your top 6 is just so tough to watch.
Drysdale really needs to take a big step this year
I’m also not mad at Fedotov’s night. Only goal that was legit his fault was the Weegar muffin from the point. After that one he made some great saves throughout the night, I think he has potential to get a few solid games. I mean, look at that malarkey 1st goal of the game.
And jsut liek that we already out of the playoff spot
This defense is shaky at best
I just want to remind everyone that this year is a season where the team is developing. We have the 2nd youngest team in the league and 12 players under 25 YO. It is going to take time for this roster to gel; and we have to also remember the guys were on game which went into a shootout last night so they’ve played a combined 7 total periods of hockey.
I’m not saying Fedotov was terrible but he wasn’t good enough to carry our defense. Errson is gonna need to put the work in to carry this team if the D doesn’t improve. It absolutely will when Seeler is back but let’s be honest even with Seeler our entire D core is still playing 1 position above their talent level. Idc if it’s through the draft, FA or trade but we need a legit top pair. Not even a Norris level guy but a top pair player on the level of Hannifan or Hamilton alone would upgrade our D by leaps and bounds.
NHL scheduling, ladies and gentlemen 👏👏👏. I thought that the Flyers looked tired. It was pretty ugly with 27 penalty minutes. Ivan Fedotov didn’t look early, I thought he got a little better, but I’m unsure if he’s ready. Matvei Michkov, silky smooth!
I am still mad about the Phillies
knew the game was over when I saw Fedotov behind the net. smfh. New wave of sitting goalies really fits this soft generation of sports and society. Oh, and Zamula is trash too.
God I hope Drysdale isn’t what he’s shown so far this year. Him taking that next step would be so huge for this team, but it’s been a rough start. Being paired with EJ and looking like the liability is something.
Armchair GMs are really out tn with their 2 game full season analysis
TK abandoning the celebration to chase down the puck when he realized it was Michkov’s first point was dope.
I really appreciate what couts and Laughton have done for this franchise but it’s time to move on.
One PP goal and one SH goal is good to see. I wasn’t expecting much from them tonight. Michkov first point, Fedotov looked mostly good when the defense wasn’t hanging him out to dry. It’ll get better.
it was a rough game for sure, but that’s to be expected with the fresh faces we have on the ice. it’ll get better, just gotta be patient. run it back and let’s win the next. LFG FLYERS
Tippett needs to step the fuck up. I don’t need shots wide every time. Get it together. Make some plays. Otherwise you’re just another back burner
It was not a good day to be slightly tipsy after watching the Guards and Penn State.
Some of the zebras just got me infuriated and made the game an agonizing watch.
Coots has become a full on net negative at this point. Gonna see a lot of healthy scratches this season and beyond.
Michkov earned minutes by antagonizing Hubedreau and then not giving up on the game multiple times. He then goes on to notch his first point.
He’s not invisible but he hasn’t blown me down. Him and TK obviously have a chemistry brewing, and I’m not even talking about TK picking up his puck. Fuck all that. It’s bigger than that.
Fedotov seemed to lose track of the puck a LOT, he didn’t look horrible, but I definitely wouldnt be shocked if this means we do see kolosov play a few for us sooner rather than later
I think Torts is looking at this as preseaon 2.0. Hes just throwing it all out there to see what sticks, lines are all over the place. I think that’s bad coaching and using his own words, “now that its real”
I missed the game and only saw the box score so this is just general – but with this rebuilding young team, and this brutal west coast trip, starting the year on a b2b, I’m just hoping we’re competitive and fun. And can maybe hit 500
