  1. They never offered him that. They are saying they did. Neeley and Sweeney are idiots. They screwed this up from day one. Trading Ullmark so soon. Swayman should request a trade. If another team will give him 64 mil 8×8 he should take it elsewhere and say F Boston.

  2. Swayman isn't a $64 mil over 8 years type of goalie performance wise. He's been good, but hasn't proven the elite numbers like the highest paid Goalies. Bruins should stay firm on what they offered.

  3. johnny gaudreau had to demand Louis Gross to take the deal Calgary. There's been multiple people saying Gross is all about the money not about the player.

  4. I love as how time passes the freak situation of a zamboni driver needing to fill in for an injured goaltender goes from a fun story in a win for his team to he shut out the maple leafs lol.

  5. Reality for Swayman if the Bruins want to play hardball. Nov 28th Bruins offer 6 million for one year. Swayman declines has to sit for the year. Next June Bruins tender qualifying offer Swayman declines. Nov 28th Bruins offer 1 year 5 million. Swayman holds out. The next season is a lock out. Swayman at that point is a distressed asset having not played an NHL game for over 2.5 years would be lucky to get a one year at million deal to prove he can still play. Tell me again about how much leverage Swayman has, in the meanwhile Bruins have sold out e very game and still made the playoffs…..

  6. Swayman is not worth the cap trouble. 6.5 for a couple of years and see where is at. If he is stellar, then he can have his 10

  7. Imagine if everyone was paid for what they could "potentially" do instead of being paid based on EXPERIENCE? I can't cheer for this guy. He's an above average goalie. He isn't elite. People are acting like he's Dominik Hasek out there standing on his head and carrying a team. Signing Swayman at anything north of 7.5 AAV (and that's already generous) would set a horrible precedent in the franchise.

  8. Well said raycroft ! Swayman needs to show he can compete on regular and if he thinks he’s that good then go play for another team

  9. I'm totally with the bruins
That offer for a guy that
Hasn't played more 44 games in a season. He needs to humble himself and get a great deal
And try to win a cup and shut me up

  10. Its ironic they have Raycroft on the show when he’s a prime example of a former Bruins goalie who had an incredibly small sample size of sustained success only to fade into little more than a backup at best. This is why those who balk at the idea of Swayman getting 8×8 or the absurd north of 10 million rumors are concerned with these numbers. It’s risky to pay a guy this kind of dough when he’s never played the volume required of a starter and who has only played just north of a 130 games in his career. No way is he worth that kind of money at this time with that resume. Need to see more from him at the helm before that makes sense.

  11. The point is made that in 8 years average goalies will be making 8 million. So a long term contract at 10 is not unreasonable.

  12. Goalies are criminally underpaid for what they provide. Good for Swayman for trying to reset the goalie market. The fact that the best goalies in the game make around 8 million is ridiculous.

  13. How can swaymen play more then 50 games when the other goalie is makin 5mil-u gonna sit a 5mil goalie? .& playin just as good

  14. I don’t know if that’s the case between the player and the organization but as a fan, I’m tired of his shit and I hope they trade him. Let’s stop pretending sway is worth 8 million a year for eight years. The notion is absurd. You’ve literally accomplished nothing so far. I’d struggle to find the justification for giving you 6 million for four years.

  15. Bruins traded Ullmark to give Swayman a chance to be the #1 and then Swayman screwed them with the over-big number. Feels like a Boras situation after Bruins did Swayman a solid.

  16. everybody needs to keep in mind that the bruins are the fifth best moneymaking hockey team in the 32 team NHL, but they are # 26 in paying player salaries, down at the bottom of the league with small market cities and crappy teams like columbus and anaheim. the jacobs family has always been about bleeding the fans and low balling players. for years, they used to run out of town anybody who would take on the team rep job for the player's association. who remembers the season way back in the harry sinden era when the team finished dead last in the entire league standings, but they had the entire league's highest ticket prices ? so, after such a disaster of a season, of course, the jacobs family would do the right thing and make beer free for the next season, or at least give everyone a free hot dog. right ? well, the jacobs family raised the ticket prices again. don't let these guys fool you, Bs fans ! the chances of this organization winning a cup are still pretty slim, when you won't pay your players commensurate with the league standard. if you make nearly the most, you should pay out nearly the most, NOT THE LEAST. good business, bad sports team ownership for fans.

  17. They seem to only make deals with the Canucks after taking a goalie today. What’s next, Demko for Sway swap? Or semi crocked Demko plus Lekkerimaki? Bruins fans prolly take it

  18. Raycroft said trading ullmark was a good idea, an now were all seing it wosent, can you explain this again raycroft

  19. hope those season ticket holders enjoy this season with minor league goalies in the net! the neely and his boss need to go!
