The game was actually pretty equal. The only difference is that we got the saves and they didnt. Yes they had more shots, but when we look at advanced stats we were equal. expected goals for: Nashvile 3.89 – Detroit 3.82
They need to put Husso on waivers and send him down to AHL.
I think the Wings success comes down to their compete level and urgency to win. So many times I watch these guys and they just come out flat and then when they are on the verge of losing, they all of a sudden start putting pucks to the net the last 5 minutes of the game… Too little too late.
Last night I think they really fought for it… the same fight I saw in the last couple games of the last season. We need that mentality to stay consistent. Treat every game as if it could be your last. "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"

Talbot was great, no doubt about it. I have to mention the defense for once. They defense actually played decent. I didn't see them standing around as I so often do.
defense was better and Petry not in the lineup. gave up alot of shots, but not a really ton of high quality chances. also thought the rookie Johanson played good.
Raymond, being on the 2nd line, changes the whole dynamic of the team.
