Bruins 4th Line is Electric | Poitras is Here to Stay

Bruins 4th Line is Electric | Poitras is Here to Stay

The Boston Bruins might have the best fourth line in hockey right now, and they’re an electric factory on the ice. They fight, hit, wear down their opponents, and score.

Mark Kastelic, John Beecher, and Cole Keopke will only improve as the season progresses.

Matthew Poitras is back in the lineup, and based on what Monty said about him after the game, he will never be out of it. The Bruins’ bottom-six forward group is locked right now, and it is the only reason they have been in games.

  1. We’ll find out when we play The Panthers tomorrow how far we have grown in the last two games and I’m looking forward to the game.Thank you for your hard work.Happy Thanksgiving 🇨🇦🐈🏒🍺👻.

  2. For me, Beecher is the guy looking great. Last year, he was dropped repeatedly by Monty. Great on the dot, excellent on the kill, skates well and now he's driving to the net. It wasn't long ago folks were calling him a disappointment at Providence. If I'm Sweeney, I'm locking this kid up.

  3. I was a fan of Poitras last year he looks like a new Bergeron in the making.
Was bummed he got injured last year. Hopefully he stays healthy and continues to grow.

  4. Wow Poitras up to 189 LBs, 5’11”” is not short. I like Grogu in the background! Great report as usual-Thank you!

  5. POY TRAS and Coyle are gonna switch lines and give us a legitimate second line.

  6. The kid is showing it on the ice. Along with all the guys gettin the small paychecks. The millionaires are playing with as much intensity as a drunk guy in a beer league game. Shame on the supposed leaders. There is no easing into the season when teams that get in the playoffs usually do by a point or 2. He big bad bruins. The season has started so getyour heads in the game…..Coyle, Brad etc.
Swayman played a decent game and was a big part of the win. It's hard enough for hampuses d partner to cover his softy ass, but expecting him to make a save with a giant marshmallow falling on top of him is too much to ask. 5 stars to the youngsters and new comers. Played like they understood what wearing the spoked B jersey means. The vets seem to have forgotten.

  7. We will have to see if Monty's line juggling every game leaves the 4th line alone.I doubt it, I am sure he will bump anyone of them up if the situation calls for it. I had to get a close hanger straightened out to scratch my brain to figure out who your Dad is off that photo. I am thinking it is Bobby LaLonde? I am 67 years old and my memory ain't so good anymore. I for one have high hopes for Poitras.

  8. those lower line mismatches always fascinating!
The difference makers that win games!

Happy to see some lines clicking. The danger is, when a player starts excelling on a specific line with certain players, fans want them pushed up to a higher line

We need to take in all the variables before demanding that.

Hoping Monty's got a "if it ain't broke don't fix it!" perspective.

Beecher is kind of funny – anytime he plays and I'm listening on the radio, his name is called constantly when he is on ice. Not a puck watcher…… I didn't know a lot about him but couldn't figure out why he was sent back down.
( Bruins development is outstanding, so I don't question like I know what I'm talking about)
I guess they needed him to be more of a shooter? Perhaps Puck management?
Because he's ALWAYS involved, hearing is named constantly called, when Johnny's on ice.

The concern about Matt's size is putting him on a balanced line. Protecting him from injury. You know there's a psychology behind this game,
I remember it being explained during the zdeno Chara era – then it came back up regarding Pat Maroon- saying even they're simply sitting on the bench changes the psychology of the game. Their presence causes opponents to hesitate at times.

they'll think twice going after Portrais if he's got some talented beef around him.
Patrice bergeron has said many times many ways -he owes his selkie awards to his teammates, particularly Chara who had his back all 200 ft for the majority of his career.

We need some skilled beef so the quick smaller guys can get to work.

I expect Matt's got a bullseye on his back now, after setting up Pasta's overtime goal – which has gone global!

Yeah – let's see what we got against the Panthers. It would be kind of nice to give Joonas a shot at redemption, but got to keep Jeremy developing

    Matty Tka-choke-hold is one thing

Sam Bennett is a whole nother beast!

My friends and I call them "Nasty boys!"

Yet would love to have either one on our teams!

Great stuff – Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

  9. If I’m don, I’d be trying to sign kastelic to an extension already. Lock him up 4 years like 3 million. I think that’s pretty reasonable. I just think he’s going to be a really key player for the Bruins and his prices only gonna go up, as he reaches unrestricted free agency next summer.
