I love Jared and what he brings to Minnesota but these past seasons have been so hard. He is the only player who doesn’t make Middleton a liability. And now he’s out again and Middleton is gonna be with Bogo or Chisholm (ew). Hopefully he’s back by STL. Is this the end of an era for Jared?

AND PER Russo: Liam Ohgren WILL make his season debut tonight.

  2. Exactly what the Wild couldn’t afford to start the season. Didn’t remember seeing Spurge come up lame but hopefully nothing major and he’ll be back Tuesday.

Time for Spurgeon to retire. He’s one bad hit from becoming Tua.

  4. Not good. Spurg had hip/back injury/surgery last year. He might be cooked. It’s ok tho cause we got Brods, Faber, Zeev on the way…

That’s fun. This is fun. Hockey is fun.

Sucks for Spurge but man he has been glass

My optimism for this season is contingent on Spurgeon staying healthy. This is not great news

did he have a collision mid ice. But he returned later?

    or was that someone else?

Would have been nice to be able to have Captain Glass on LTIR at the start of the year if injuries persist like last season

  11. As much as I love Spurgeon he’s a bit too prone to being injured.

You got to be kidding me! I just put him in my fantasy lineup. Why didn’t I hear about this sooner? I blame Lapanta!

Spurg had 2 career ending surgeries to the back and hip and made it through, this might be the start for LTIR which will free up $7.5 million in cap and if Wild make playoffs he could be available. If Vegas and Tampa can do it, why not the Wild?
