  1. To me, I’m unsure about the goalie interference call but im a leafs fan so I’m neutral. Either way Calgary played better tonight

  2. Calm down Lego….2 Disallowed goals, Oilers hit 3 Goal posts, 3 straight PowerPlays for Calgary, Skinner gets slashed and run….ZERO call?…..We will be fine. Relax. ……..Besides, all this does is screw up Calgary's draft position.

  3. I believe in the flames I believe we could go on a little run. Enjoying this while I can enjoying this whatever how long it lasts

  4. I didn't hear people predicting they'd be last in the division – everyone I heard was saying they'd finish ahead of San Jose and Anaheim. Still, an unexpectedly better start. I'll have to see this level of play continue towards Christmas for me to think they are more in the playoff hunt than lottery hunt, but they've been fun to watch so far.

The biggest pleasant surprise by far has been Huberdeau so far. Not only is he getting points, but he seems much more effective on both forecheck and backcheck as well. And then Mantha is also engaged and playing hard so far, so if both of those guys play well, it could change a lot in terms of where the team will end up.

While nobody has played poorly yet, I still have some concerns in net (if those two weren't called back tonight, it would be quite a few goals against so far), on the blue line (top 4 look really good so far, but there's not much talent deeper than that – though Barrie's limited use has been positive so far), and then especially at center. The centers have played well once the play is going, but the faceoff percentage has not been good at all so far, and that is bound to start causing problems if it doesn't improve.

  5. Last in the Pacific is a bit of a reach considering SJ and Anaheim are in the Pacific.

  6. Whichever era it is, no matter what state the Flames are in…. Rebuild, Retool, Chronic mediocrity or contention… Any win against the oilers and Canucks is a good day. Pretty solid start for Calgary.

P.S. – Screw Corey Perry. What a sniveling little rat.
