He is absolutely sick of it

During the Colorado Avalanche’s 6-4 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, Nathan MacKinnon lost his temper late in the third period, lashing out at the referees over missed calls. His frustration escalated, resulting in a 10-minute game misconduct and an ejection from the game. Despite scoring a power-play goal and adding an assist, MacKinnon’s emotions boiled over as the Avalanche fell to 0-2 for the season

  1. Hey guys, error in the video: The last goal I showed was let in by the backup. Completely forgot he got pulled.

  2. The league needs more of players showing up the refs for dogshit calls until the NHL finally decides to step up and penalize dogshit officiating. That is an absolutely horrendous penalty to call at any point in a game, but at the end of a close game like this it calls into question the integrity of the refs.

  3. Nate needs to get a reality check. But at least this time he slashed the boards and not a ref. Dude forgets how he two-handed a ref a few years ago and probably deserved to be suspended for the rest of the season but got a slap on the wrist instead and basically got gift-wrapped a cup from it all. Fake champ, but all too real fucking baby.

  4. Bro please, can u stop saying Georgiev's last name like that? It's not George like u anglo speakers know.

  5. I mean Georgiev has been atrocious, but the 5v5 defence of Avs hasn't been nothing to write about either. Even MacKinnons defence caused a goal in Avs season opener.

  6. Remember when Tony D got his whole reputation ruined for doing the same thing but getting attacked after by a emotional Georgiev? I wonder if Georgi lashes out at Mac if Mac will similarly be scrutinized, or is it only a problem when Tony D does it?

  7. It's pretty weird to me that they even tried to stick with Georgiev considering they had this exact same problem for long stretches last year as well… The guy had one good season in 22-23 and has been average at best for the rest of his 8 year career almost entirely as a backup, it's not like he's some young guy who's figuring out his game.
Then again who knows, goalies are weird and all it takes is one spark for him to be right back in that golden year form.

  8. The officiating has been atrocious. So many weak calls, and so many blatant none calls. It’s ridiculous.

  9. Teams with dynamic offenses are gonna learn (probably not) that you simply aren't going to outscore everyone with fringe AHL goaltending.

  10. If I’m the GM, everyone except nate and cale is free game to be traded for a goalie. The offense is INSANE so they can lose even a pretty big piece and still be fine.

  11. Georgiev is an AHL starter at best, Avs can’t rely on the offense to win games 7-6 every single night. Gotta make some moves to bring in a decent goaltender

  12. I think my favorite part is the people defending his actions saying “oh well he wants to win” okay but Kuch does this in the playoffs and rarely in the regular season and he’s called a crybaby…okay what’s the difference between the two. Anyways from the sounds of it the refs were awful but is that really a shock to anyone lol
