  1. 8 mins in, I can see why the Hawk Tuah chick has a better podcast and haven't even watched it.

  2. Bruins fan, i end up hating every single player that gets greedy. You want extra cash go to a team that will win 30 games. You want to push farther into the playoffs, you take a tram friendly deal like lord patrice

  3. Trade Swayman. He is disloyal and overly dramatic.
Boston gave him every advantage toward his development by protecting him with the Tandem system.
That cost cap space but it was a good decision. Too bad but there will be a good return.

  4. Trade him . He’s greedy and thinks he’s earned it guy is coming off an entry level deal and has not been a starter buh bye

  5. Sorry Seay being a little pathetic here… bye bye…. Guys like Bergie Marchand and Z…. ALL FUTURE HOF’s can life quite well on several
Millions…. So can a hick from Alaska

  6. $7.8 and $8 million over 8 years is the same to me . Neely saying $62.4 doesn’t roll off the tongue like 64. I don’t consider that lying

  7. If Swayman doesn't sign and he's coming off the end of a one-year bridge deal from arbitration, since he's an RFA, doesn't that mean he can be offer sheeted?

  8. Newly is so unprofessional. Especially since it looks like Sawy never received an 8×8 offer. And curly is nieve if he thinks Neely "didn't know."

  9. Cam neely and the bruins are such losers lol, they think with one cup in modern era makes them elite, dude swayman if you want a cup, i suggest you dont play for boston, they suck

  10. We stand with Cam. They offered him 64 MILLION after playing 130 games as Ullmarks back up in front of the best defensive structure in NHL. His asks were delusional well before he played really well against Toronto for a whopping 6 games against the same team. He took the Bruins to arbitration himself, even though they begged him not to go there and warned him of the potential consequences. His agent Lewis Gross was well aware and had him go through with it anyway so Swayman showed up with his clipboard ready to get offended and write down every reason why he wasn’t worth $7 million after playing one season. Now he’s offended that they thought he wasn’t reliable in the playoffs? Dude, at the time of his arbitration he had .890 playoff save percentage. You took them to arbitration dummy….you think they’re not gonna dump all over you for getting LIT up by Carolina and Florida? LOL. This kid has never played more than 44 games and the one time he struggled mightily it was for a ~10 week period where Ullmark won all but literally like 2 games and stood on his head taking all the rough playoff matchups and back to backs. That’s Safety net is gone and no matter what anyone thinks, nobody knows what will happen if a situation like that occurs again and there’s no VEZINA winning goalie to bail him out. Swaymans first season in the NHL set really inflated value for him because he played the Philadelphia Flyers like four times in 10 games and posted like a 940 Lol. People forget all these small details. The second time the Bruins had the opportunity to take him to arbitration and avoid this entire thing they did right by the player and elected NOT to, but Swayman and Lewis Gross bend them over and use that Goodwill as leverage. Technically, that’s well within their right, but it’s still foul. And for all the people blaming the Bruins for trading Ullmark before signing Sway I’m ready to write a novel, but without getting too far into the weeds, if they didn’t do it before July 1, he could veto the last trade on the table and there’s a high chance they’d be stuck with his contract on the books with no cap space no free agent signings, and no ability to even offer Swayman a Deal….not to mention, NEGATIVE leverage to move a VEZINA winning goalie. Imagine that would’ve gone over…. Lewis Gross knew about that conundrum and could easily have just left them on red until July 2 lol. That situation was so much more complex than most fans are giving Boston credit for. Sway is starting to look like a greedy baby and I hope the people who just want to revel in the Bruins struggles can really look at what’s going on here and see it for what it is. Eight years at 8.5 or he can find out if he’s a $10 million goalie in Utah. As a fan, I’m done.

  11. Avid Bruins watcher here, looking at a lot of the comments I can see that a lot of people from other fan bases don't seem to understand that we literally don't need him that much. Heck we made average goaltenders put up stats of star goalies because we have an actual defense put in place in front of them. What I think is gonna happen is either Swayman gets burned trying to fly too close to the sun (ends up not signing before Nov. 1st and forced to sit out a season, which will then cause teams to not want to pay him too much money for the 2025-2026 season anyways, because they'll have the very valid argument that he didn't play in the NHL for a year) or he eventually snaps out of that episode of God complex of his, signs a deal, whether it's short term or long term, whatever, and he gets to prove to us that he deserves the money he's asking for by playing him 50-60 games. Which will then lead to a trade for assets because as stated before, we don't necessarily need a goalie that plays 60 games a year, just a reliable tandem to split the work is typically enough for our needs. Also you are more than welcome to revel in this situation of ours, it's definitely a situation that would have been best avoided, but I'm honestly glad to see Bruins management sticking to their culture of only keeping players who play for the jersey more than the paycheck. Please keep in mind that this is only my opinion and there are probably a lot of details that we aren't aware of that could completely invalidate what I just said about the possible scenarios, only speculating here 🙂

  12. Wasn't Swayman's contract up last year? They couldn't agree and went into arbitration. If they had signed him long term for a decent aav last year when he prob wouldve loved 6 mil, but they didn't. Low balled him so now they need to pay.

  13. Swayman needs the Bruins more than they need him even without Ullmark. There are a million goalies that could do above league average in that Bruins system and the Bruins don't need to offer any of them 8X8.

  14. I don't understand Swayman. He seems to think he has a few Vezinas and several Cup wins, and regularly plays 60-65 games per season. Goalies tend to be magic beans, and someone as young and unproven as Swayman as the starter is risky with a long contract. He could turn out to be the greatest goalie in Bruins history, and whatever contract he gets is a bargain – but he's not proven anything yet, so why he's acting like he's already the boss is beyond me.

  15. MTL fan here: giving goalies more than 9 is just not realistic. Price was a God and considered/feared like a God until the end of his career, and he still was overpaid at 10M, that kind of money sets unrealistic expectations on any goalies back. You CANNOT live up to that, you'd have to win the Vézina every season to live up to that money, you cannot "merely" be a top 10 goalie every season for the rest of your career. 8×8 is a lot of guaranteed money

  16. 0:55 Based on some internet/social media joke I've yet to actually see (because I don't give a damn).

3:31 If you're not laughing right now, c'mon… that's funny AF.

11:57 And then for some reason he was Sea bass.

  17. That was awesome! Swayman is a good goalie but you’re delusional if you think he’s an $8 million a year goalie. That’s not to say he won’t be one or two years from now but he doesn’t have the résumé. Sorry bro it’s just a fact. You’re asking for something you haven’t earned yet. The level of entitlement is a red flag for me on this player. I would trade him. You can get a good return on him. There’s always a crap team willing to overspend on a player so they can fight for that potential wildcard spot for the playoffs.

  18. Why should Swayman hold out for the rfa goalie market. He's been in a 50/50 tandem and has never played more than 44 games in a year. Some goalies Excell as a backup than struggle as the starter, and maybe Swayman had good numbers in leagues filled with players who will never be good enough to make the nhl, but the whole time he's been in the nhl he's played for one of the top defensive teams in the league. I'm more impressed with korps .913 save% playing for cbj 2 years ago than I am with Swaymans .916 save% playing for a Boston team that makes cbj look like an ahl team, and when korp finally played for a playoff team he put up better numbers than Swayman. When you look at the goalies making over 8mil right now they only got contracts that high after vezina wins or nominations and consistently playing 55 to 65 games for 2 to 3 years and have proved that they can handle that high of a workload, 20 more games a season makes a big difference

  19. Be Jeremy Swayman…

    1) Hire jerkoff agent
    2) File arbitration against the Bruins
    3) Get embarrassed – hold a grudge
    4) Watch fellow goalie teammate get traded (necessary evil to create cap space for his own greed)
    5) Leak tidbits of negotiations to social media
    6) Turn down generous offer of $7.8 aav for 8 seasons
    7) Attempt to be a crusader for your cause – it’s not just me but I’m doing this for all goalies
    8) Scratches head in bewilderment as to why fans are turning against you in favor of ‘Seabass’

  20. I know you said it's Swayman's camp pushing for an 8-year deal, but it only makes sense that he's looking for a shorter term (because the cap is going up) not a higher AAV. Am I crazy? lol

  21. $7.8 is already too much for him. He is great but he is still a RFA. I think Bruin frustration is fair.

  22. Cheap old Boston trying to force stars to take less. Those days are over! Pasta signed a big deal, now Swayman. Marchand too dumb/scared to ask for what he’s worth. Boston culture is basically ripping off their stars and trying to bully them into taking less. Clown organization

  23. Hey guys. New sub, here!
I absolutely admire true hockey fans who can show the hate for their team's nemesis, yet also show due respect. It's refreshing and fun to watch. Cheers from Boston!

  24. Hopefully you Leaf fans revelled it in for the three days when the Bruins remotely resembled that disaster of an organization in Toronto. Everyone back to their places now, the father-son status-quo has returned.
