Kind of feel bad for Nurse. He's just not as good as he use to be. Could be aging, could be insecurities, could be preoccupation about subconsciously fighting fans on a daily basis about his contract, his game, his physical stamina with the minutes he's expected to take on night after night, and maybe his leadership. It's never one thing when witnessing in real time the decline of a player's game and or career. Nurse just needs to figure it out. Because frankly, it's not out of the realm of possibility that Nurse gets sent down to Bakersfield to find his confidence again following a similar path to Campbell. Perhaps even the worst case scenario – getting his contract bought out – to make room for two $4.5M shut down defenseman. The bottom line is, Nurse's stats, year over year, presents an argument that he is flirting with the line of expendability. Once he admits this to himself, he might have a coming to Jesus moment and become the $9M player the organization and fans expect him to be.
No commitment. Not digging in, especially on defence. They don’t have a goalie who can bail them out. They have goalies who need to be bailed out. 3 goals for and 15 against in three games demonstrate all of that.
Darnell….just play your game……focus on your own Season, all the Players need to stop micro-managing themselves so much and just put in the hours on the Job like the rest of us do. Just work hard and the rest will happen as it should.
Allways talk and no action 9 million Darnell and lets be honest playing hockey for 60 mins at 4 games a week is not worth 9 million a year and most people work 40 hours a week so hockey is not real job 4 games at 60 mins a week is only 4 hours a week win or loss they still get pay play or not play for 8 months of the year 9 million you miss a day of work do you get payed the answer is NO .
Frist you suck, maybe you should play forward cause that where you always are. Put yr money where yr money is. The only reason this guy hot that money is because it was during the covid season and we were only playing our devision. Cause no one could travel. Still sucks.
Well said Darnell. I really do hope we find our groove soon. Aside from the first regular season game, we haven’t played poor enough to lose nor well enough to win.

I liked seeing Nurse show more grit. I love that man. More or that.
