    I mean.. I am super disappointed he wants 12 mil over 8 years, not 11 mil over 8 years. I get it. I get his point of view but I get the front office, too. It's like once you ink an 8 year deal, who knows, maybe 4 years from now average hockey goalie Johnson will be making that. (I doubt it)

    You also got to put 4 attack lines and 3 defensive pairings in skates. I dunno the right answer. Right now, like, today. I guess I'd say give him what he wants. He isn't just the best player on our team, he's one of the best in hockey.

    Hopefully, in 3 to 5 years, he'll be willing to take a haircut (restructure) if paying a goalie that much is too crippling. But rite now, like, today..

    I think they have no choice. We can't let him walk.
