What’s with all the bitching & moaning about the “scheduling” from some in the post game?

We as a team voluntarily accepted that Global Series thing giving us 2 games back to back ahead of everybody else from the start. And then they had 4 full days off after coming back from Europe

We played 6 games so far. So what lol

13 teams have already played 4 so far and Florida has already played 5 and they are just coming off a long extended season Cup run

Honestly really hoping Pesce gets back soon, we signed him for a reason and maybe some of those breakdowns don’t happen if he’s playing. The young D have held their own but they are young and mistakes will happen. Carolina is a pain in the ass team that they need to figure out. Some teams just have your number, like the Devils always seem to play well against the Penguins.

I’m disappointed we didn’t tie it up 2-2 last night but overall we’re going to lose to top teams. Toronto and Carolina are probably top 5-7 teams in the league. How refreshing though to have a goalie keep us in the game? We got outplayed but were right in it till the end. Lots to be optimistic about right now.

Carolina hockey is boring to watch. There, I said it

Every loss is disappointing, but all the doom and gloom people are crazy. If we keep up going 2-1 every 3 games, that’s roughly a 54-28 record, so 108 points and that’s with zero OT losses. We play in a tough division, it’s not going to be an easy season. We’re already showing an improvement over last season. It’s not perfect, plenty to work on, but I’m staying cautiously optimistic.

For everything that happened throughout the game, Markstrom looked incredible and we were one unlucky roll of the puck from tying it 3-3.

Last years team wouldve gone into the 1st intermission down 2-0 or 3-0. Theres a lot of positives to come out of this game, despite the result.

Pesce and Luke coming back, I’m sure a trade to bolster the 4th line and continued improvements under Keefe, we’re in good shape

I’m not as down on this as I was for the Leafs loss. There was more effort to get back in it (and there was for the Leafs as well tbh). But the Canes are still a bad matchup that we haven’t figured out yet. I just hope our next matchup against them isn’t so soon.

I think we have the personnel to make it better, as we certainly have more physicality.

  8. TBH my major next day feeling: A bratt whiff away from tying the game.

Devils are a great team and will only get better with Pesce/Luke and more time gelling in Keefe’s system.

Carolina is also a great team and they match up with us as well as anyone. Hopefully we’ll deal with them better next time.
