The whole thing about being English is that we're meant to be the best in the world, now we can't even invest in English talent. Everything is sold to foreign owners and your best bet now if you are native English is to go abroad because at least then you can bullshit people and tell them you're friends with Paul Mcartney or the Royal family.

Lets take three of the english choices being touted around as the best options (ignoring Carsley as he does not want the job), Eddie Howe currently under contract with Newcastle so a settlement would need to be reached costing the FA millions with no guarantees he would best in class for the job. Frank Lampard, got replaced by a world class manager which went on to save the season and win the champions league, which manager? Tuchel… Now Potter, he took over Chelsea from Tuchel when he was 6th in the league, despite hundreds of millions spent on new signings he got sacked in 11th. So we should accept 2 managers who performed undeniably worse than the appointment we have made, purely because they are English? This mentality of not getting the best available is why we have not won anything since 66. Tuchel is the best manager available on the market at the moment, the FA for the first time in a long time have made a blinder of a call.

Thomas Tuchel won more trophies in his short Chelsea stint than Cole has in his entire career which included 5 years with Chelsea, so of course this reaction is not surprising lol
