  1. What surprises me is that after this kind of a start, the big roster move for the Canucks is to send down a 4th line kid who has hardly been the worst player on the ice.

  2. They need to penalize teams for bringing up players “on an emergency basis” and not fines. Teams don’t care about fines. Taking picks away might be too harsh, but lowering them in draft order seems fair. Knock them down 1 spot each time they do it. Believe me, it will stop. The salary cap is a joke if they let these teams find a way around it.

  3. Kings spending to the cap and still suck (I’m a fan watching them lose 0-5 to Toronto currently. I’m allowed to say this) 😂

  4. When the Jets went to Phoenix I followed them. I kind of paid attention to them throughout, now they are in Utah and I am still keeping an eye on them. Twist your tongue as much as you want, That Utah team is the Jets.

  5. If I were an AZ fan I think that I would just remain teamless/follow multiple teams….. I love being an Oilers fan but sometimes I wish that I didn’t have an allegiance to any teams so that I could just enjoy the league as a whole without as many emotions. (I find my fandom genuinely stresses my everyday life)

  6. for me and who I'd cheer for whould depend on who's game I could attend. I'd lean to Utah as I'd be familiar with the players If I was a local and was a fan of the Yotes that's just me

  7. The Avs haven’t had a start this bad since the 2008-09 season. But as you said, the problems are coming from a number of places. Nothing seems to be going right right now.

  8. I think the death of Alexander Ovechkin's dad really affected him. He just wasn't the same player after he came back from Russia towards the end of 22-23. I think that carried over into 23-24. He was dealing with a nagging injury too. The all-star break really rejuvenated him both physically and mentally. He looked really good in the game against Vegas. Really nice assist to bring up 700. I think he'll be fine. He might not score 40 but I think he'll be up around a point per game which is unheard of for a 39yo dude

  9. I kinda feel sorry for Ovetchin. So much hype around him beating the "unbeatable" goal record of Gretzky that's stood for a long time, only to eventually be passed by Matthews and perhaps McDavid.

  10. Don't blame any Coyotes fans for giving up on NHL hockey, now that my baseball team is gone the MLB can pound sand and I will never watch or support anything of theirs ever again. It's nothing personal, just business…

  11. Coyotes fan here. I am not going to follow Utah. I have no connection to the place and it’s painful to see my former team in those ugly uniforms. I’ll be patiently waiting for the day NHL makes its return to Phoenix but in the meantime, Utah nor Vegas are getting my fandom
