If a rigid knee brace had been worn, could it have prevented this injury? Here is a pro european hockey player who says he wears a rigid knee brace for games https://youtu.be/u40OWXvNs8E
that player who intentionally injured with the knee should face disciplinary actions for this is ludicriss the NHL is going to have to impose severe penalties to whoever hits with the knee otherwise chaos for many teams ??? Lane out for the rest of the season maybe end of his career???? time will tell.
Not sure if that was intentional, it certainly wasnt an obvious intentional knee on knee where the guy sticks his knee out at the last second. Looks like they both had pretty wide stances and the guy went to hit him, Laine avoiding the hit still had his leg way out to the side. Probably I would say could have been avoided, seems like a bad judgement call by Laine too though.
92 skated into the knee as much as the leaf player. He tried to split the two leafs but skated into one. Close call but no call. Hope he’s ok. Tavares had similar contact with the hab game before.

Sucks, thanks for explanation
Could this be a career ending injury? So sad for Laine
That's bad

Toronto player dug his skate into ice before the knee on knee. Definitely deliberate. Should be criminal investigation.
This was a VOLONTARY HIT to wound Lane
Time for Montreal Karines and Kevins to start calling this a dirty play, when it's a hockey play
Dirty hit , pare was standing still , he was getting beat and stuck out his leg .Played D all my life, and I have done this same play .
He’s done. Ouch.
This was only ever gonna happen to Laine. I swear he's cursed or something.
Laine skating between two defender with his legs 4 feet apart is…. A choice to say the least.
I see why this guy can never get going, poor hockey sense.

Thanks for posting, I've been waiting to see your opinion on this injury.
LCL+ACL at least. Possible PCL tear as well.

Laine skated into the injury as much as leaf did. He injured himself trying to split 2 players.
Thank you for that video, excellent.
This is Patrick Laine's 15th carreer injury. That is a lot for a player around since 2018.
brutal. poor guy, hope he recovers at least to near pre-injury strength
You dont pit your knee out in a pre season unless you want to hurt someone
great explanation thank you
Thanks for this video, hope for the best for Laine. //🇫🇮🇸🇪
