He threw the ball when and where the play called for the ball to be thrown. A QB run for 6 yards or dump off is not as effective over time as throwing the ball 15-20 yds down field when the play calls for it.

The jets are the maga team. Lots of talk but when it comes time to deliver it is failure and the blame game. Does anybody believe the jets are a better team since they aquired rodgers? He was supposed to take them over the line. But he seems more interested in vaccinations than football.
The steelers are a team built on fundamentals of defense and running game. That is why they can recycle a qb like wilson and he can fit in the system. They are not asking him to do everything. Just dont make mistakes. They can grind it out.

Russel still looks terrible, he's a shadow of himself……He still didn't look fabulous yesterday, but they play called it right the last 2/3 of the game and didn't ask tooo much of him. Him going to a Tomlin coached team I figured would give him the best chance of looking half decent. There were few better places he could've gone than with Tomlin. Don't try and do too much, because YOU CAN'T……be a game mgr, stick to the dump n dink passes going deep now and then to keep the D honest….Montana won 4 SB with that kind of passing (and Rice, of course). 5 yard throw, 70 yard run……

Forcing players to play to their weaknesses because thatās the coaches philosophy, is outdated and bad. Thatās why my boy Pete Carrol flamed out and why coachās like Andy Reid still dominate.
Andy Reid changes everything to fit the strengths of the players of his team, thatās what great coaches do.

As a Seahawk fan it is always a difficult problem when the subject of Wilson comes up. He helped lead the team to a Super Bowl win. And yes that was greatly helped by the greatest defense of that time, but you still need a great qb to win. It was a team win. But after that Wilson became different, separating himself from the team, believing all the hoopla about how great he was. Any Seahawker not wearing blinders could see something was off, though the sound bites, etc. stayed the same. I believe Russell needed to be humbled to find himself again. And I'll say that is true for most of us at some point in our lives. Now that it appears to have happened I'm hoping for the best for him. Especially since his team is in a different conference.
