Welcome Toad! Talking about Jackie Chan, he was a big influence for me too, and in the early 2000’s I actually got to talk to him on the phone once! True story-the PDX Jackie Chan Fan Club was a big donor to the Chinese Garden when I worked there as membership director, and the garden sent me to the fan club’s annual dinner to represent and say thank you. Little did I know that Jackie Chan called them every year at their annual event! I got to say hello and thank him for being a supporter of the club, and the garden through the club, and I couldn’t help but slip in that he influenced my martial arts journey too. He was extremely kind. It was pretty surreal, and a fun experience.
