  1. New lines need to click, there’s an adjustment period for teams when retooling but yeah it’s a bit longer than expected

  2. It seems pretty typical of a team that basically complete overhauled their main lines. You see mini versions of this after the trade deadline sometimes. A contender picks up a few high powered veterans and then slumps a bit, limping into the post season. It takes time to gel – for the new players to not just learn the new system and their new line mates but also for the coach and crew to learn how to beat utilize the new added talents. I agree though, the Preda certainly needed Saros to not have a week start. I'm sure Nashville will turn things around BUT will it be soon enough that they aren't desperately trying to make the playoffs at the end of the year? Will it happen soon enough to avoid the firing of Andrew Brunette? Time will tell. Those are certainly risks.
